NCFM Bluto Construction Photos

Click on a photo to see a larger version. Also realize that the whole ballast tube installation is optional.

Carefully cut through the skin down to
hole in the foam above the ballast tube.
Only cut sides and back. Front is a
hinge, and the cover should fit pretty
snuggly in place.

Opening ballast cover.

Ballast cover opened. You may find
that the ballast slugs don't slide
freely any more. If they slide with a
little bump on the side of the nose section
then you're ok. Otherwise you'll probably
need to grind the slugs down a bit, or use
smaller slugs.

My Bluto covered.
My digital camera doesn't do it justice.
The purple is darker than it looks,
the red is fluorescent red, and
the yellow is well.. about that color.
I will put some red on the top half of
the tail so that I can tell which way is
up, when it's edge on.
I chose this color scheme for sheer
obnoxiousness.

Bottom is pure black.

That's it.
